The text tools work in your browser. Your pasted content is not sent to a conversion service.
What happens to your text
Your input and converted result remain in the current page’s memory. Clearing the editor, reloading or leaving the page removes that working state. Textidy does not create an account, document history or server-side copy of your text.
Closing the page is not a promise to erase copies held by your operating system, browser, clipboard manager or extensions. Those are controlled by the software on your device.
Clipboard and downloads
Textidy writes to the clipboard only when you choose a Copy action. It does not monitor or automatically read the clipboard. Your device may ask for permission. A download creates a file on your device.
Website requests
Your browser requests the pages, scripts, styles and icon needed to run the site. The hosting provider may process routine request information such as IP address, requested page, browser information and timestamps to deliver and protect the website. These requests do not contain your pasted text.
Textidy uses Plausible Analytics to measure page visits, including visits to individual tool pages, referral sources, and aggregate device and location information. We also measure when a tool is started, an example is loaded, a result is successfully copied, a download is started, or copying fails. These events contain only labels for the tool, mode, output format, and whether input came from you, a built-in example, or a browser agent. They do not include text contents, document links, or error messages. Plausible uses no cookies. We do not send editor input or converted text to Plausible. See Plausible’s data policy for details. Textidy also sends these page visits and tool-action labels to PostHog in cookieless mode. PostHog receives browser and device information and uses a server-generated hash to count visitors; it does not store analytics cookies or browser identifiers on your device. We strip page query strings, fragments, referrer paths, and all unapproved event properties before sending events to PostHog. Editor contents are never sent. See PostHog’s privacy policy. The site uses no advertising or session replay. Tool dependencies are served with the site. Remote images and embedded HTML are excluded from formatted previews.
Optional browser-agent tools
In browsers that support it, Textidy can expose a local text-conversion action to a browser agent. The action processes text explicitly supplied to it and updates the visible editor. It does not provide a tool to read all existing input. An agent you use may have its own data-handling practices.
Changes and questions
If the site changes how it handles data, this page will be updated to describe the change. Please avoid including sensitive document contents in any support message.
